    MCLA Administrative Fee:

MCLA charges a small administrative fee of $150 per party, payable in advance of the mediation directly to the Center by credit card or check. Initiating party will pay their administrative fee upon completion of the submission form. Opposing parties will be notified via email with a link to pay their administrative fee.

*Administrative services begin upon completion of the submission form and are earned; therefore, all administrative fee payments are non-refundable.

    Mediator’s Fee:

    – All parties will be required to sign a Mediation Agreement with the Mediator as well as a Confidentiality Agreement prior to the commencement of the mediation and any other required documents as requested by the mediator.

Benefits of the Vendor Resource Program

The MCLA Vendor Resource Program provides an affordable solution where parties have access to expert mediators, who are carefully selected and meet or exceed the highest standards, ensuring professional and effective mediation services. By offering this low-cost mediation option, the program increases the community’s access to justice and provides a more affordable alternative to prolonged litigation.

MCLA’s streamlined process in collaboration with the court enables cases to be assigned to a mediator and scheduled more quickly and efficiently than other programs. This efficiency helps alleviate the burden on attorneys and judges, allowing them to manage their caseloads more effectively.

What is the Vendor Resource Program?

Litigants have the opportunity to leverage the Mediation Vendor Resource List to organize voluntary mediations without needing a court referral or involvement. This curated list includes organizations chosen through a rigorous selection process, all of which have committed to providing a limited number of affordable mediation sessions with experienced attorney mediators. These organizations have the discretion to accept or reject cases based on their criteria. Mediation arrangements are made directly through MCLA and are conducted via videoconferencing. While the Resource List primarily focuses on active civil cases valued between $50,000 and $250,000, it remains open to considering cases outside this value range.
